SEVEN D-MAX TO TACKLE BORNEO SAFARI
Seven units of the award-winning Isuzu D-Max will be pressed into service as the official media vehicles for this year’s Borneo Safari. This follows the tradition where Isuzu Malaysia provides dependable and capable vehicles to ferry members of the media through one of the toughest annual off-road events in the region.

This year, two new units of the immensely sophisticated D-Max X-Terrain will join the line-up together with three older units of X-Terrain and two units of the capable Single Cab models.

Tuan Hj Faez Nordin, President of the Sabah Four-Wheel Drive Association and organizing chairman of the Borneo Safari paid Isuzu Malaysia a courtesy visit in conjunction with the announcement of Isuzu as the event’s returning Diamond Sponsor.

According to Isuzu Malaysia’s Chief Executive Officer Shunsuke Okazoe, the Borneo Safari remains a key event in Isuzu’s calendar as it showcases the capabilities of these all-conquering pick-up trucks.

“As one of the toughest and most challenging off-road events in the region, the Borneo Safari calls for vehicles that are not only capable of tackling extreme conditions, but need to be able to do it reliably and dependably throughout the 7-day duration of the event,” said Okazoe.

This year’s Borneo Safari will kick off in front of the Sabah Tourism Board office in Kota Kinabalu on Sunday 27th October and wind its way through and Telupid before returning to Kota Kinabalu a week later.

Isuzu Malaysia is grateful for the support of its event partners including Red Springs who helped prepare the two new units of Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain, Sabah Tourism for their arrangements in online content and Cuti-Cuti Malaysia for their support in jointly promoting local tourism.
