The 916 Cycle For Health event made its return this year with 1,065 cyclist participating in the Malaysia Day fun ride organized by Isuzu’s northern dealer Indah Utara.
Organised for the third consecutive year, the fun ride event saw riders take in the sights along a 75km route from the Indah Utara Isuzu 3S Centre in Alor Setar towards Pokok Sena before returning to the showroom via Kepala Batas.
Aimed at offering cycling enthusiasts with a fun and safe platform to enjoy their pursuits, the 916 Cycle For Health event was also organized to promote the healthy benefits of cycling.
Flagging off the event together with government officials was COO Kenkichi Sogo who thanked everyone for their contribution towards the success of the event.
“This event is in its third edition and it remains popular among cycling enthusiasts in the region. Many thanks to the participants for supporting the event and to the organizing team and all government officials who have helped to make this event a great success,” said Mr Sogo.
Flagging off the event together with Mr Sogo was the Hon. Mayor of Alor Setar YBHG Dato Hj Mohd Yusri bin Hj Md Daud, the Political Secretary of Prime Minister YB Tuan Chan Ming Kai, Dun Coordinator Kota Darul Aman Mr Ooi Shou Wayne, representatives from Indah Utara Auto Mr Poh Seng Hooi, Poh Seng Keong, Soo Yong On and Rodney Lee together with Alor Setar LM Bikers Club’s Mr Poh Cheng Hai and Fong Chan Hap.
Following their ride, the cyclists returned to the showroom for a wonderful breakfast and lucky draw.
