OVER 500 CYCLISTS ENJOY FUN RIDE AROUND KOTA KINABALU WITH ISUZU

Kota Kinabalu, Monday 20th October 2025. It was an impressive sight to behold as some 580 cyclists enjoyed a leisurely morning ride, taking in the wonderful sights around Kota Kinabalu. The cyclists participated in the UM Isuzu Fun Ride 2025 organised by Isuzu Malaysia’s authorized dealer Universal Motors.

The event was flagged-off by the Honourable Mayor of Kota Kinabalu Dato’ Seri Dr. Haji Sabin, Datuk Peto Galim, Datuk Dr. Roland Chia, Ir James Thomas representing Sabah JKR, CEO of Isuzu Malaysia Tomoyuki Yamaguchi, COOs Kenichi Kudo, Wataru Miyamoto, and Masashi Nuijima, Sales Manager Andrew Law and Directors of Universal Motors Datuk and Datin Chok Yun Kiong.

“As a brand that places environment care as a key pillar of the business, Isuzu is always mindful of the need to develop socially-responsible and healthy pursuits. Events of this nature not only allow participants to develop a deeper appreciation of cities at a leisurely pace,” said Mr Yamaguchi who joined the participants on part of the ride.

This event marks the third consecutive year that Isuzu and Universal have organized the Fun Ride. Previous editions also garnered a strong support from the cycling community here.

The Isuzu Fun Ride 2025 kicked off from Universal Motors Isuzu 3S facility in Kalasanan with participants riding a loop around the city, taking in the wonderful views along Likas and passing DBKK, Jalan Tun Fuad Stevens, Sembulan and the airport before heading back to the Isuzu showroom via the Lintas bypass. The journey covered a distance of 41km and upon completion of the ride, participants received a medal of completion.

At the Isuzu 3S Centre, returning participants were treated to a scrumptious lunch together with a karaoke session and a lucky draw with some RM20,000 worth of prizes to be won.
