Environment care specialists and water management experts Ranhill Technologies Sdn Bhd recently chose to update its fleet of field vehicles with 13 units of the all-new Isuzu D-MAX 2.2-litre pick-up trucks.
As long-time users of Isuzu pick-up trucks having purchased models through TEC United Auto including the 2.5-litre and 1.9-litre variants from previous generations, Ranhill decided to update its fleet and continue with the brand by purchasing 12 units of the 2.2-litre Auto Plus variant and a unit of the 2.2-litre Auto Standard.
Citing the Isuzu D-MAX’s strong core qualities such as its reliability, low running costs and high dependability as key considerations to re-purchase, Ranhill management will be utilising the new vehicles for its field personnel who travel the country inspecting infrastructure and conducting maintenance on facilities managed by the company.
With the 2.2-litre Auto Plus 4×2 version making up the bulk of the purchase, it was clear that this variant has proven to be an exceptionally-capable vehicle with its superb features, impressive fuel efficiency and excellent ground clearance that makes it suitable for visiting remote areas that do not require 4-wheel drive traction to access.
Chief Executive Officer of Isuzu Malaysia, Tomoyuki Yamaguchi together with the Chairman of TEC United Auto Tan Yiew Tiong signed the hand-over agreement over the vehicles to CEO of Ranhill Technologies En. Izani bin Ibrahim in a ceremony held in Johor Bahru.
In thanking the management of Ranhill Technologies for their continued support, Mr Yamaguchi assured En. Izani that the new 2.2-litre D-MAX, particularly the new Auto Plus 4×2 will perform with greater reliability and efficiency.
“The new Isuzu D-MAX with its 2.2-litre engines offers tangible improvements ranging from its refinement, performance and efficiency to its reliability, comfort and versatility. I am confident that the Ranhill team driving the new trucks will conclusively appreciate the new driving experience,” said Yamaguchi.
