ISUZU D-MAX PICKED TO ASSIST IN REGISTRATION PROCESS

Kuala Rompin, 22 November 2023 – The highly-capable, award-winning Isuzu D-Max pick-up truck has been selected to assist the National Registration Department (JPN) in their task of visiting remote Orang Asli villages around the country for their citizenship registration exercise.

Receiving the three units of the Isuzu D-Max 3.0-litre Automatic model was the Director General of JPN En. Zamri bin Misman who received the vehicles from Chief Operating Officer of Isuzu Malaysia Mr Kenkichi Sogo in a simple ceremony in Kuala Rompin today.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Sogo said that Isuzu’s proven reputation as a trusted vehicle would positively enhance the efficiency and capabilities of the department’s tasks.

“Isuzu pick-up trucks have proudly earned the recognition and established a reputation of being capable vehicles in all kinds of challenging terrain. Isuzu’s ability to get the job done has been second to none and we are confident that these new D-Max trucks will be able to serve the needs of JPN in their tasks,” said Sogo.

Apart from the vehicle’s powerful yet efficient 3-litre engine mated to an advanced four-wheel drive system that features a differential lock for superior off-road traction,

Another key feature of the Isuzu D-Max has been its class-leading 800mm water wading ability. This feature allows the vehicle to traverse streams, rivers or flooded roads confidently, allowing the team to get to their destination and back safely.

The three Isuzu D-Max vehicles will be put to service at the JPN office in Kuala Mu, Perak, Gua Musang, Kelantan and Kuala Rompin in Pahang. Its primary role will be to move in collaboration with the Jabatan Kemajuan Orang Asli (JAKOA) and enter remote Orang Asli villages in order to register villagers, particularly new borns within those regions. To ensure the safe passage of the vehicle and its passengers, the Isuzu D-Max have been fitted with an electric winch, bull bars, a canopy and mud terrain tyres.
